One of our featured artists for March is Luci!

Luci is the magical result of a spontaneous session between three songwriters, McKail, Ariana, and Ashley.

Although their sound is acoustic/pop-based, the Luci Ladies have always had a passion for the Blues and Jazz, two styles that appear in their writing. Through their combination of genres and individual styles, the result has allowed three independent and stylistically different women to come together to form a unique blend; a blend that embraces their strengths, weaknesses, and differences and morphs them all into a cohesive sound.

The Luci Ladies all hail from very different backgrounds. McKail Seely (guitar, vocals), originally from Utah, picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and began to songwrite and perform at a variety of venues across the state. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue her career. She made a name for herself performing at venues all over the city as well as actively cowriting.

Ariana Tibi (guitar, vocals) from Calabasas, CA, has been musical from an early age, she’s been performing and writing songs all her life. She’s since moved to LA to pursue music full time–voice teacher and hostess by day, songstress by night.

Growing up in Coto de Caza, CA, Ashley Maietta (keys, vocals) explored many different performance outlets. She discovered her ultimate passion in music and dance, and has been actively involved in both over the years. She has co-written with various writers and artists as well as worked as a Marketing/A&R Manager for a music management company.

Luci feels as though they’ve been together for years. They have booked various gigs around Los Angeles including Hotel Cafe, Molly Malone’s and more. They just released their live EP “Live from 201”

Luci just released their live EP “Live From 201” and had a release show at The Hotel Cafe on February 18th and released their EP at midnight.

They’re currently working on their first guerilla-style music video that they’re releasing in April.

For the month of March they’re going to be working on new material as well as playing our residency at Harlowe Bar in West Hollywood on March 24th. They’re also so excited to be playing the WorldArts stage as a featured act on March 31st!
