One of our featured artists for February is Juliane!
Montreal based R&B pop singer Juliane was raised by a music-loving father and creative mother, Juliane’s interest in music developed at a very young age. Juliane draws inspiration from pop/soul artists of the 90s and early 2000s, including Destiny’s Child and Mariah Carey, and incorporates these influences into her music today.
Juliane has steadily gained a strong following in her time as a performer, playing shows around the Montreal area and even gaining attention from musician Akon, who stated, “I honestly never thought that big voice could come out of that little body.”
She released her debut EP on October 20 2015. It was written with various songwriters, including Juno Award-nominated songwriter/producer Albert Chambers (Simple Plan, Chromeo, Queen Latifah) and Zachary “Soke” Raymond (Taio Cruz, Olly Murs), and it was mastered by Tom Coyne (Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd). The self-titled EP features the singles “Look At My Baby” and “As Simple”.
Juliane also has a remix of her song “As Simple” being released on February 19th.
