WorldArts Featured Artist J.J Leone

One of our October featured artists is J.J Leone!

J.J Leone is an R&B/Pop/Soul Singer, guitarist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Chingford, London and is of Canadian and Italian descent, with showground ancestry.

Born into a musical family with his godfather being a classical guitarist and older brother a jazz musician, Leone showed an interest in music at an early age: He learned the acoustic and electric guitar through books and by ear. By the age of 10, Leone had moved to the Norfolk countryside, which he now cites as his ‘second home’. It was here that he learned the drums and bass guitar and expanded his musical capabilities.

While attending school, J.J had the chance to meet other musicians and even formed a band with friends. This band is where he tasted his first bit of musical success as they were endorsed for a tour in Spain.

At the age of 19, Leone embarked on a solo acoustic venture, and in the following years performed on three headline tours and served as a support artist for chart topping UK acts.

Following the release of his single ‘Collaborate’, the video that reached 56,000 YouTube views in it’s first 10 days live.

J.J has also starting work with Marshall Arts Talent this month. They are a live agency that works with Elton John, Lionel Richie, Taylor Swift, Pink, among others. Be on the lookout this month as he will be releasing a new single and video at the end of the October!
