WorldArts Featured Artist Future Lovers!

One of our featured artists for May is Future Lovers!

Future Lovers are an LA based, indie-pop quintuple, comprised of Val Macias, writer and lead vocalist, Patrick Simon, keys and synths, Steve Crane, guitar, Henry Muehlhausen, bass, and Matt Lesser on drums. Their sound has been influenced by soul and folk contemporaries, such as the Alabama Shakes, Fitz and The Tantrums and Edward Sharp. Their most recent EP, Memory Is A Monster, spans infectious, upbeat folk-pop to melancholic, break up blues, where guitars swell in achey billows and vocals crack from longing.
Future Lovers say they are thrilled to be working on their new EP where they will be exploring danceable indie-pop, featuring sweeping synths and big drum pads. Their single, Come On, serves to bridge the change in genre. It is a combination of their original voice with traditional rock instruments – guitar, bass, acoustic drums – but incorporates heavy synths and catchy drum rhythms.

Future Lovers has also been featured on the nationally broadcast, Emmy Award winning show, HOME & FAMILY,  on the Hallmark channel, as the headlining artist.

All Future Lovers music can be purchased online at iTunes, Google Play, Amazon. They can also all be streamed on Spotify, Pandora and SoundCloud.
