Pop artist Natalie Shay has released her newest single This Feeling! This nineteen year old North London-based singer is a classically-trained guitarist who has already played sold out shows all over the U.K. Her latest track mixes impressive vocals with melodic guitars, punchy drums, and a building anthemic chorus, highlighting her fusion of live instrumentation and indie pop sensibilities. Produced by Pete Dowsett (The Vaccines) and inspired by the work of Sundara Karma, This Feeling displays a dynamic and authentic live sound. “It was important to me to have as many live instruments as possible on the recording to create the right vibe and sound” Shay notes. This Feeling is thematically about the excitement of young love and the passionate desire for someone, resulting in a heartfelt song from this breakout indie singer.
Shay credits her training at the famed BRIT School, which produce fellow alumni like Adele, Jessie J, and Katy B, for encouraging her independence. “It allows students to develop creatively and socially so that they are prepared for the world once they graduate” she explains. Having performed at venues like The Roundhouse, Ronnie Scotts, the Brooklyn Bowl, and the O2, she has also garnered awards including the Best Undiscovered Talent London Music Award, The Guardian’s Music Award, and she is a two-time recipient of the Mayor of London Gigs. Her debut single Follow You Home reached number 15 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Her electric live performances have lead her to share the stage with artists like Soul II Soul, J P Cooper, Alex Francis and Sex Pistol Glen Matlock. Driven to inspire other young women to flourish in the arts, Shay is poised for a stellar 2018 with her newest track.
