Singer/Songwriter Michelle Lewis has released the video for her new single Push On! The new video was directed by Nathan Laver and animated by Kathleen Gleeson, with help from the production team at Bopnique. Co-written with Robby Hecht in Nashville and recorded in Los Angeles, her latest track is a song about “perseverance (and) finding the strength to take a step when you think you can’t take one more” Lewis explains. “Push On is about moving on through loss and heartbreak, and keeping your head up when you feel defeated. I know I’ve felt all these things this year and have used this song as a reminder for myself to keep going, like the little girl in the music video”. This Boston-native and Los Angeles-based artist is currently on tour all through Europe in support of the new song.
Lewis writes intensely visual songs, with melodic textures and emotional depth (and a healthy dose of swagger). Her music transcends both traditional folk and mainstream pop, to give listeners her own unique singer/songwriter interpretation. Lewis debuted her first EP This Time Around in 2004, which was followed by her second EP Broken in 2009. After dropping her most recent The Parts of Us That Still Remain in 2014, her upcoming full-length album is set to be released Spring 2018. She is encouraging fans to share their own stories of determination here along with the tag #PushOn.
