WorldArtist Grace Kelly stopped by the WorldArts Stage for an exclusive Periscope Set & Interview!
Twenty-two year old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Grace Kelly began her musical journey at the age of 14 while living in her hometown of John’s Creek, GA. From playing bass in a punk rock band to singing hip hop hooks across metro-Atlanta, her young talent and songwriting attracted supporters such as Grammy nominated producer/songwriter J. Que Smith (Beyonce, Ariana Grande), Butch Walker, and Brian Bell of Weezer. After graduating high school in 2011, Grace moved to NYC to attend the prestigious Clive Davis Institute at NYU which adheres to a strict 10% acceptance rate. There she was chosen as the sole recipient of the Dan Hartman Scholarship by her now frequent collaborator and Grammy winner, Charlie Midnight (James Brown, Cher, Britney Spears). Throughout her time in NYC she worked with notable writers and artists such as Hoodie Allen and Grammy nominated producer Angel Aponte while also performing at such venues as Tammany Hall, Gramercy Theatre, Webster Hall and The Bitter End.
Now Grace is working on her new album and is continuing to write great music! Check out her live Periscope performance on the WorldArts Stage. She sings her original songs “Perfect Psycho”, “16”, and “Not Gonna Cry”. Check it out below!
