Tinderbox Music’s Jon Delange has said of Future Lovers , ” …What an absolute gem.  Consider us at Tinderbox Music big fans.” -2015

“Val M. is an excellent writer.  I’m sure we’ll find a space for Future Lovers music on a CBS show soon.”  -Samuel Diaz, CBS Music Supervisor 2016

Future Lovers are an LA based, indie-pop quintuple, led by Val Macias, writer and vocalist, originally from San Antonio, TX.  Their sound has been influenced by soul and folk contemporaries, such as the Alabama Shakes, Fitz and The Tantrums and Edward Sharp.  Their most recent EP, Memory Is A Monster, spans infectious, up beat folk-pop to melancholic, break up blues, where guitars swell in achey billows and vocals crack from longing.

Future Lovers are thrilled to be working on a new EP where they will be exploring danceable indie-pop, featuring sweeping synths and big drum pads.  Their single, Come On, serves to bridge the change in genre.  It is a combination of their original voice with traditional rock instruments – guitar, bass, acoustic drums – but incorporates heavy synths and catchy drum rhythms.
