More performances have been added to the upcoming American Country Countdown Awards, a new awards show that honors country artists based on their album sales and radio airplay. When the inaugural ceremony airs live from Nashville’s Music City Center on December 15th, it will include performances not only by the three artists announced last week — Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and the show’s own pair of sun dazed hosts, Florida Georgia Line — but also Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge and Carrie Underwood.
Underwood, who recently did some hosting of her own at the 2014 CMA Awards, isn’t likely to make many more public appearances after the American Country Countdown Awards. The singer — whose Greatest Hits: Decade #1 hits stores one week before the awards show — is expecting her first child in spring 2015. Meanwhile, her new single “Something in the Water” remains at the top of the Hot Country Songs, Country Digital Songs and three different Christian/gospel charts, thanks in large part to her performance of the song at this month’s CMAs.
