Next weekend, October 22 & 23 The Growlers’ will be hosting their fifth edition of Beach Goth Fest at The Observatory Grounds in Orange County. This festival has made a reputation for it’s punk-rock personality, but over the years has evolved to diversify their line-up, and maintaining their southern California grunge aesthetic.
Here’s five acts performing at Beach Goth that we’re looking forward to catching at the festival:
Naturally, the Orange County native garage rock band is on our list. They have been working with Julian Casablancas, The Stroke’s frontman, on their latest album, City Club that just released September 30.
Justice (DJ Set)
If you’re an electronic dance music fan, then this is definitely a must see at the festival. The French electronic duo recently released their single “Safe and Sound” breaking their silence since releasing Audio, Video, Disco in 2011. Their latest single emulates their signature synth sound with a funky bass. Next month they will be dropping a new album “Woman” on November 18.
Justin Vernon is the band’s singer, songwriter and founder, since the American indie folk band began in 2007. Fans have been patiently waiting for the past 5 years for their latest album, 22, a Million, that just dropped last month.
The New York based Chilean-American music producer and DJ, recently released his third studio album, Sirens, as a follow-up to his 2015 album, Pomegranates. A unique electronic artist to watch, who spent earlier years honing his craft producing for others, and in the more recent years has taken the driver seat full speed ahead in his own projects.
Before his Coachella performance earlier this year, LA producer Henry Steinway, released his latest single “Aurora” since dropping his album VOID. And there has been talk in edm blogs and over social media that Steinway is sitting on his second album.
Despite the five above there’s definitely many other acts to catch, check out their website for the full line-up and ticket info.
