WorldArts Gives hosted its inaugural concert to benefit the Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation! The Love, Hope & Harmony Benefit Concert & Silent Auction featured GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Candice Pillay, America’s Got Talent artist’s Avonlea and Reverse Order, and featured a special appearance by Trenyce (American Idol). All proceeds from the event benefitted the Han Schneider foundation’s mission to stop hunger and fight illiteracy for underserved children around the world through Operation B.O.O.K. (Bringing Opportunity to Our Kids) helping children in Cambodia, Mexico, North Korea and Tanzania.
Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation (HSICF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by Sang “Sam” Han who was an orphan living on the war torn streets during the outbreak of the Korean War. After he was eventually adopted in the United States, Sam promised to dedicate his life to serve all children and orphans that once lived in his shoes. Through the hard work of Arthur Han (Executive Director), Zachary Lopez (Director of Operations), their staff & Board of Directors, the foundation is fulfilling its mission is to reach the furthest corners of the world to provide life-saving essentials to the most destitute children.
With help from our friends at Stella Rosa, Icelandic Glacial, Jarritos, and the San Antonio Winery, guests enjoyed beverages and a silent auction featuring gifts like dinners for two, massages, and Rams & Kings tickets!
